东埔村在陆丰市东北部、城东街道的中心地带，共有5个自然村，即东埔前、东埔后、楼脚、古来脚和后内。[1]

村土地3.5平方千米，水田2200亩，园地450亩，1250户7650人，东埔大道、东环大道和新国道324线从村中通过。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，明洪武年间有人从邻乡迁来立村，清雍正九年（1731年）陆丰置县，称坊廓都一图东埔村。土地改革时它是一区东围乡的一部分，1957年归两城乡，1958年公社化后叫东埔大队。1965年与土围合并，称东围大队，1968年两村又分开；1986年第二次与土围合成东围乡，1988年乡撤销，单独成立东埔村委会，隶城东镇。2021年12月获2021年广东省卫生村称号。[2]
