螺洞村（旧写罗洞）在水唇镇东部，南邻普宁市大坪镇，是陆河世外梅园景区所在地。[3][4]村里青梅成片，景区是国家4A级旅游景区。[2][4]2020年11月，螺洞村被授予「第六届全国文明村镇」。[3]

地名由来与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，清康熙年间严、王、孔三姓在此居住，后来吴、廖、陈接居，村名顺口叫“严螺硿”；嘉庆年间彭姓迁入；光绪年间有人嫌名字不雅，改作“园螺洞”，后又写成“罗洞”。[3]

1960年同中和分开，叫罗洞乡；1968年改称大队；1984年3月再设乡人民政府；其后是村委会（1986年）和管理区（1990年），1999年起用“螺洞村民委员会”之名。2016年10月，县政府批复同意水唇镇罗洞村民委员会更名。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

镇政府新介绍称面积10.62平方千米，328户1873人，有4个自然村，分别叫四村、五村、六村上排、六村下排；较早的介绍是318户1804人、3个自然村，并有党员33名。[1][2]全村种青梅上万亩，粤东地区面积最大。[2]博雅地名网引述的旧资料称青梅3000多亩，年产约1500吨，另种黄榄1000多亩。[3]

2016年，它被评为汕尾市十大休闲基地和广东省乡村旅游与休闲农业示范点；2017年获「广东省文明村」称号。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

世外梅园在一处山谷小盆地里，罗洞河穿谷而过，罗洞河是榕江主要源头之一，被划为国家级特有鱼类水产种质资源保护区；每年大寒前后梅花盛开。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2019年7月入选「第一批全国乡村旅游重点村」，2019年11月被农业农村部推介为「2019年中国美丽休闲乡村」，2019年12月入选「第一批国家森林乡村」，2020年8月以青梅入选首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」；2023年1月，司法部、民政部将其命名为「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」；2024年4月，进入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[3]
