吉龙村在水唇镇西北部，辖14个自然村，如车田、河背、后洋坪、大陂等，村内有俊德楼、车田司马第两处客家古民居。[1][4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前，吉龙同水唇、新丰同属吉溪乡。1960年与石船分开，成吉龙大队，“文革”时一度改称红星大队。之后依次为乡政府（1984年3月）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1990年），1999年起称吉龙村民委员会。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

镇政府新介绍称面积约12.36平方千米，总人口6800多人；较早的介绍是1150户7000人，常住4500人，耕地约2000亩、山地约1.2万亩，离镇政府约3公里。[1][2]村内种水稻、青梅、李，还有一座小型水电站，曾获省市县卫生村、生态文明村等称号。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

  • 俊德楼，在河背自然村，清末所建，占地978平方米，2016年12月列为陆河县第二批文物保护单位。[4]
  • 车田司马第，在车田自然村，清道光年间建，占地1555平方米，汕尾市文物保护单位；主门楼匾额为“乐阳门”。[5]
