民生村是鲘门镇下辖的行政村，国道324线从境内经过，辖2个村民小组，土地面积约10平方千米，据博雅地名网所载人口3122多人，博雅地名网称它是海丰县较大的纯渔业村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年属海丰县鲘门乡。1952年鲘门乡成立后，先后设新生村和新民村，分别是浅二大队、浅三大队的前身；1958年鲘门乡改为鲘门公社，设浅二、浅三两个大队。[1]1984年设民生乡，1987年起称鲘门镇民生村委会，1989年后改为民生管理区办事处，1998年恢复村委会，沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

村以渔业和海产养殖为支柱，海产品加工和批发为辅。[1]
