民新村是鲘门镇下辖的行政村，在通港路旁，辖8个村民小组，土地面积约9平方千米，据博雅地名网所载人口1650人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年属海丰县第四区鲘门乡，1958年为鲘门公社下的鲘门农业大队。1984年并入鲘门区公所，三年后设为民新村委会，1989年曾称管理办事处，1998年重回村委会之名。[1]
经济[edit]
村内农田和山林不多，收入来源有限，近年靠着紧邻324国道的位置和政府的招商政策发展集体经济。[1]2026年3月，民新村被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
