红源村是鲘门镇下辖的行政村，在324国道北侧约0.4千米处，面积约5平方千米，辖13个村民小组，据博雅地名网所载人口约2549人。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年，这里属海丰县第四区鲘门乡，1952年单独设立红源乡。1958年编为鲘门公社的第一大队，称红卫一大队。^[1]1984年改作红源乡，隶鲘门区公所；1987年成为鲘门镇的红源村委会；1989年起叫管理区办事处，1998年才重新使用村委会之名。^[1]

深汕高速公路和厦深铁路在村境内都设有出入口，村里在高速出口和324国道两侧发展餐饮、加油站和修配等服务业；农业上由原来的一年两熟水稻，改种水稻、番薯、辣椒等多种作物，山坡种果造林，低洼处养淡水鱼和禽畜。^[1]

2026年3月，红源村被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。^[1]
