云新村位于镇西，与惠东县黄埠镇交界，到镇行政中心约2公里，面积7.8平方公里，下设4个村民小组，人口1250余人。村集体经济较弱，不少村民在黄埠镇的制鞋、鞋类加工行业务工。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，1965年起归小漠公社，此前1960年在鹅埠公社名下，1959年在圆墩公社名下，1953年是鲘门区辖地，而最早的1952年，这里还从惠东县划出、编入海丰县四区。云新大队建于1974年；1984年称云新乡，1987年起是村民委员会，同年也有管理区办事处之称，1998年重设村民委员会。[1]
2023年4月，云新村被列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
