梅西村在梅陇镇区以西约2公里，官方名单共列6个自然村，即岭下、新寮、赡儒埔、沙埔、凤江、凤林。[1][2] 2010年总人口3621人，耕地约3591亩，村民种瓜菜为生。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

梅西村1952年起为梅西乡，1958年成梅西大队，政社分设的1984年又称乡，1987年5月起设村委会；1989年改称管理区办事处，1998年恢复村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

据2023年5月镇里的报道，梅西村户籍人口约5208人，山林面积约2000公顷，村里通过土地流转盘活了撂荒地，引进番薯、香水柠檬、百香果等作物。[3] 2024年的高标准农田项目覆盖泗马寮、三山、凤山等10多个自然村，惠及近2000亩农田，总投资585万元。[4] 2025年村里整治120亩撂荒地，打出「梅西油占米」品牌。[5]

荣誉[edit]

梅西村在2019年9月公布的「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单中；2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
