梅陇村是梅陇镇圩的主要组成部分，辖区约3.4平方千米，2010年总人口2962人。[1] 下设永水、坑尾、西二、西一、东三、简厝6个自然村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期，梅陇村隶属第三区银峰乡，1952年划归梅陇乡。此后建制几经变换：1958年为梅陇大队，1969年改叫东方红大队，1984年成为东方红农业管区，1987年5月起设村委会，1989年又改称管理区办事处，1998年才恢复村委会至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

司法部、民政部在2012年10月公布第五批「全国民主法治示范村（社区）」，梅陇村在其中；2024年4月，梅陇村又被纳入广东省首批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

西一村西路14号的曾世合古民居是梅陇墟开基的第一条商业街上的曾姓大宅，建筑为「十二间包五加四马拖车」的方形格局，门楼有「南丰世泽，东鲁家声」联，祠堂匾额为「养志堂」。[3][4] 2018年8月31日被授予「汕尾市历史建筑」称号，2021年12月挂牌为市级文物保护单位。[3][4]
