名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村落位置山高，畲地多，在水源上游，故名上中。[1]

1956年，上中与下中畲合办中社农业社；1958年农业社改作中社大队；1978年中社拆成上中、下中两个大队，1984年两者再合为中社乡；到1985年，上中独立设管理区，1999年起称村民委员会。2004年11月撤销叶南镇后，上中村归叶塘镇管辖。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单于2019年9月公布，该村在列。[1]
