据博雅地名网，位于麻岭河西岸，故名河西。[1]

1949年为河西村农会，1950至1957年称大队，1963至1986年设河西乡，其后叫管理区，1999年改称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2013年8月，该村列入第二批中国传统村落名录。[1][3]
  • 广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单于2019年9月公布，该村在列。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

刘氏大夫第在村内，建于清代，据博雅地名网为兴宁市县级文物保护单位。[2]
