宣明村在坭陂镇东部，距兴宁城区15公里，面积3平方公里，耕地1528.26亩，下设34个村民小组，913户3675人。村名取自当地村落祖先的号「宣明」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1919至1957年称宣明乡，1958至1983年称宣明大队，1983至1986年为宣明乡政府，1986年起改称村委员会，沿用至今。[2]

经济与荣誉[edit]

宣明村名列广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布的首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产品是丝苗米。2019年9月，宣明村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]

百度百科记，村里以种养业为主，2020年成立股份经济合作联合社经营集体资产，并通过土地流转参与玉米产业带建设。[1]
