丙塘村在坭陂镇中心一带，距兴宁城区15公里，面积约1平方公里，耕地520亩，旱地250亩，下设6个村民小组，300户1450人。[2]
地名由来[edit]
相传这里地势低洼，常年积水，有一道低垄围出一口形如饼的大塘，旧称「饼塘」，后来写成「丙塘」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年为村农会，1950至1957年为大队，1963至1986年为乡，之后称管理区，1999年改称丙塘村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村内设有卫生站。据百度百科，2007年村集体收入为1000元，村民人均纯收入为3540元，收入主要靠外出务工。[2]
