笃陂村在坭陂镇西南部的宁江下游，面积1.98平方公里，耕地641亩，下设11个村民小组，人口1260人；村内有东沟河、笃陂河和宁江河流过。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
过去坭陂一带有两个叫笃陂的乡，坜陂方面的称上笃陂乡，这里则是下笃陂乡，以便区分；东方村后来也是从下笃陂分出的。[2][3]
1958年公社化时，这里属坭陂公社笃陂乡。[1]
经济[edit]
当地以传统种养为主。当地的兴宁市嘉舜种养专业合作社租入200余亩土地，用机械种稻，年产丝苗米200多吨，注册了「手中粮」品牌。2024年8月，该村部分土地被纳入兴宁市城镇建设用地征收范围。[1]
