湖柏村在坭陂镇东南部，距兴宁城区16公里，四邻是东面的黄垌村、南面的汤二村、西面的汤一村和北面的河心村。全村2.2平方公里，分21个村民小组，户籍3079人，2022年常住的有1148人。[2]
地名由来[edit]
村名取自境内两处主要居民点「湖坊」和「柏塘」各一字。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年为村农会，1950至1957年为大队，1963至1986年为乡，之后称管理区，1999年起称湖柏村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
湖柏村以农业为主。2021年起，村里通过土地流转集中了1430亩耕地，撂荒地基本清零，建成高标准农田；引进企业规模种植丝苗米，另做了500亩槟榔芋轮作试验和100亩超级稻示范。[2]
2021年至2035年的村庄规划把湖柏村列为省级重点服务村，方向是农业与旅游结合；2022年村集体经济收入靠光伏发电和土地流转增加了7万元。[2]
