汤一村在坭陂镇西部，距兴宁城区13公里，面积5平方公里（耕地1036亩，山地3600亩），下设26个村民小组，总人口2888人。村里的兴宁进士第是一座大型围龙屋。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

这里本名汤湖，村域在汤湖的上片，依次序称汤一；下片的汤二村与它相邻。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年成立生产大队时，汤湖一分为二，此处为汤一大队；1984年改称汤一乡，1999年改称村民委员会。[3]

荣誉[edit]

汤一村在2017年10月获得「第一批广东省卫生村」称号，授予单位是广东省爱国卫生运动委员会。[3]该村先在2018年12月被住房和城乡建设部拟定为第五批中国传统村落，次年6月公布入选。[1][3]

2021年10月，省自然资源厅发出村庄规划优化提升分片对口服务的通知，汤一村与湖柏村被列在全省240个重点服务村之内。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

兴宁进士第始建于清乾隆二十五年（1760年），前后两代人用了约50年建成，是三堂八横二围的围龙屋，另有一横屋作书院，共6间。[2]

主体建筑面阔150米，进深108.9米，占地14835平方米，整体分布面积近22000平方米；屋为二层，底层房间多达300间；2009年起列为兴宁市重点文物保护单位。[2]
