柑子村在宁江中下游，距兴宁城区约10公里，面积约5平方公里，分38个村民小组，2022年常住1895人；耕地2800多亩，山地约1000亩，传统上以园艺作物为主。[2]

村里原有一片柑子园，曾叫柑子园村，后简称柑子村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
柑子大队成立于1978年，1989年9月起叫管理区，直到1999年4月才又称村。[1]
人文与荣誉[edit]
据百度百科，村内有垠子上屋这处历史建筑，当地向来重视读书。[2]2019年9月，柑子村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
