白湖村在蕉岭县文福镇，位于县城北面约12公里，205国道经过村旁，城乡分类为镇乡结合区。[1]村内有丘逢甲墓、羊岃福寿堂、羊岃力田草庐等文物。[1]2026年3月，白湖村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名的来历有两说。流传的说法是：早先白、黎、胡三姓居此，丘姓迁来后三姓之名与「白泥湖」谐音，渐称白泥湖，简称白湖。但村情资料也指出，明崇祯年间进士丘维岳所写的族人传记里已出现「白泥湖」一词，而三姓之说可能是后人附会。[1]

村的建置：明末属丰田乡，清道光年间丰田乡改称文基乡；1952年成立白湖乡；1958年归文福公社，称白湖生产大队；1983年白湖、羊岃两大队合并，仍称白湖乡；1987年改称白湖村委会，1990年改管理区，1999年起复称村委会。[1]

村情介绍（未注年份）：22个村民小组，836户、2806人，耕地1141亩，园地1010亩，林地35612亩；种植烤烟、花生、大豆。[1]2019年9月，村名列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

丘逢甲墓建于1913年，1985年定为县级文物保护单位。[1][2]羊岃小组的福寿堂是数学家丘成桐的祖居，建筑群占地4200平方米，为三堂四横二围龙格局；力田草庐是羊岃丘氏的私塾，始建于清乾隆年间；两处均在2020年3月公布为梅州市文物保护单位。[1][3][4]
