神岗村在广东省梅州市蕉岭县长潭镇，位于石窟河以西，设25个村民小组，在册709户、2680人，全村面积2.45平方公里，耕地2194亩（据博雅地名网所载村情）。[1]
村名来自当地的石头「神岗岃」，有两种传说，都说是神仙路过时留下的。[1]
地名由来[edit]
一说女娲补天时众仙相助，一位仙人路过此地，被景色吸引而耽误了时间，留下一块石头，村以此山称神岗下，后简称神岗。另一说是仙人挑着两块石头路过，路遇老人，问有没有人赶猪经过，老人答只见到赶石的人，仙人听了便把担子放下，一块落在今神岗，一块落在新铺中学旁。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明崇祯六年（1633年）这里属兴福乡，称神岗，民国十年（1921年）叫神岗下，1933年成乡，1950年成村。1983年兴福区将神岗、瑶岭两个大队合为神岗乡；1987年为兴福乡的神岗村委会，1990年改管理区，1999年起仍称村委会；2004年兴福镇撤销，并入长潭镇。[1]
荣誉与经济[edit]
2019年9月，神岗村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年9月，在广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单中以蔬菜入选；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。村里还种沙田柚和水稻。[1]
