下一村属梅州市五华县河东镇管辖，是镇内的一个行政村[1]。博雅地名网所载村情介绍（未注年份）称，该村分21个村民小组，在册935户，人口4306人，总面积1.91平方千米，耕地约936亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据村情介绍，解放初这里简称下坝乡；1958年属水寨人民公社，是其中的下坝大队；1961年，下一从下坝大队分出，自成一队；1983年称乡，1989年设管理区，1999年起设村民委员会。[1]

村情介绍称它位于镇政府所在地的中心，种植优质稻和蔬菜。[1]
