桃星村在梅州市大埔县桃源镇西北部，属镇中心区，共有29个村民小组，在册981户、3946人；村域面积8.88平方公里，有耕地900亩。[1]2019年6月，桃星村列入第五批中国传统村落名录。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

合作化时期这里办起桃星农业生产合作社，后来就以桃星作村名。[1]村的隶属屡有变动：1943年在高陂区桃源乡，1949年至1951年在双桃乡，1952年至1956年在上桃乡。1958年改称桃星乡，同年10月后成了桃星生产大队；1983年12月又称桃星乡，1986年12月改村委会，1988年叫管理区，1998年定名桃星村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

桃星村种茶，广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，桃星村以茶叶列入。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内老虎坑有和尚岭遗址，为商代遗存，1982年被发现，遗物散布约4000平方米。[3]

荣誉[edit]

桃星村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，公示在2019年9月。[1]
