上墩村在梅州市大埔县桃源镇南部，共17个村民小组，在册472户、1861人；村域面积15.89平方公里，耕地1034亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村旁有山形似大象，叫象山，村子坐落在山墩间的开阔地，原名象墩。客家话里“象”与“上”读音相近，“上”字笔画少，后人便改作上墩。[1]民国十七年（1928年），桃源与象墩合为桃源乡。[2]
荣誉[edit]
上墩村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，公示在2019年9月。[1]
