嵩溪村属广东省梅州市梅县区白渡镇，是镇下的行政村。据说两条溪水穿村而过，原叫“双溪”，“双”与“嵩”音近，村又属嵩山一带，遂写作嵩溪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属程乡县龟浆都上半图，清代属嵩山堡，1941年属梅县嵩山乡，1950年为白嵩区嵩溪村。1958年起为白渡公社嵩溪大队，1989年改为管理区，1999年成立村委会。[1]
