建侨村属广东省梅州市梅县区白渡镇，是镇下的行政村。当地旧称建新村，因新中国成立前出洋谋生的人多、华侨多，后改称建侨村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属程乡县龟浆都下半图，清代属程乡县梅屏堡，民国时属梅县梅屏外乡大塘堡。1950年归梅县白渡区，1958年归白渡公社，1961年改属悦来公社，1965年回到白渡公社，时称建侨大队；1983年为建侨乡，1989年为建侨管理区，1999年为建侨村委会。[1]
