历史沿革[edit]

1980年由芹洋大队分出，设福长大队，属梅州镇东郊公社；1983年设福长乡政府；1988年改称村委会，隶东郊乡，1989年叫福长管理区，1998年复称村委会，隶东郊镇；2002年起划入金山街道。[1]

概况[edit]

据博雅地名网所载资料（未注明年份），村辖13个村民小组，在册495户、1734人，总面积1平方公里，耕地2186亩，种果树、养鱼。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，福长村入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
