蓝田瑶族乡是广东省惠州市龙门县北部的民族乡，东、北两面与新丰县相接，南面是龙田镇，西面是地派镇和密溪林场。[1][2]乡下设1个社区、7个行政村，乡政府驻蓝田圩，距龙门县城16公里。[2]百度百科称它是惠州市唯一的少数民族乡。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

乡名来自驻地一带生长的蓼蓝，这种植物可作蓝色染料，后来形成圩市，又因是瑶族聚居之地而称蓝田瑶族乡。[3]1949年后设蓝田乡，1952年分为上蓝田乡和下蓝田乡。1958年成立燎燃人民公社，范围包括今蓝田、龙田、龙城三个乡镇；1961年改设蓝田人民公社，下面有四个大队：上东、蓝田、新星、到流。[2][3]

1984年公社改区。1986年12月12日，广东省人民政府以粤府函〔1986〕341号文批准设立蓝田瑶族乡，起初下设七个管理区，即上东、到流、大份、小洞、蓝田、新星、社前；乡在1987年1月正式成立。[2][3]7个管理区后来改称村，其中大份一名在2003年2月改为红星村。[2][4]

地理环境[edit]

乡境群山环抱，北高南低，海拔500米以上的山峰有15座，最高点寒山顶海拔956.8米。年平均气温19.5℃，平均降雨量2100毫米。蓝田河自西北流向西南，注入天堂山水库；龙新公路由南向北贯穿全乡。土壤多为酸性赤红壤。[2]据乡志所载，全乡耕地10783亩，林地24万亩，森林覆盖率97%。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网转载的乡情介绍，当时全乡共2750户、9640人，分在81个村民小组；瑶族有8875人，约占九成二，非农业人口为875人。[2]2019年末户籍人口为11018人；第七次全国人口普查（2020年）结果为6500人，列龙门县各街道乡镇第10位。[1][3]

乡志认为蓝田瑶族的文化兼有苗瑶语族与壮侗语族诸民族的某些共同特征，既不同于连南的八排瑶，也不同于粤北各县的过山瑶。[2]

文化[edit]

当地瑶族风俗有舞火狗、男女对歌、不落夫家、月月有节，还有崇拜峒主爷的“接亚公”和“招兵”仪式。相传第一任峒主由狗乳哺养长大，狗因此被奉为崇拜物，旧时禁食狗肉。[2]

舞火狗属传统舞蹈，2006年6月被收入广东省首批省级非物质文化遗产名录。据百度百科，活动在农历八月十五举行，是未婚少女的成年礼：少女戴斗笠、绑黄姜叶扮作“火狗”，拜祠堂、菜园、灶堂，再到河边洗净，男青年放鞭炮、对歌；每名少女须参加2至3次。[5]乡志称这一舞蹈曾获全国民族舞蹈金奖。[2]

经济[edit]

乡志称当地林业条件较好而农业条件较差。1979年社办企业只有庚子坑、七娘寨2座电站；到1987年，乡办企业共9个，除4座电站外还有木器、农机、文具、木箱、衣车板心等工厂。1997年全乡企业连同个体工商户共86个，工业产值1038万元；2000年增到102个，产值1168万元。[2]2019年末，辖区有工业企业81家，其中规模以上3家。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2017年，广东省林业厅把它认定为当年的广东省森林小镇（9月），国家民委把它列入第五批全国民族团结进步创建示范区（12月）。2019年12月它进入首批广东省旅游风情小镇名单，2026年3月，它被广东省定为第三批“百千万工程”的典型村镇。[1][3]
