育民村是惠东县梁化镇所辖的行政村，村名有一则兴学的传说。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
相传很久以前，有位叫育明的秀才在此开办学堂，免费教贫困人家的孩子读书，村民为纪念他，把此地称作育民[1]。育民最初由四民、育民、虾塘三乡合成一个大队；到1951年12月，育民小乡隶惠阳县第十五区；1963年2月改隶梁化公社，年底同虾塘合为育民乡[1]。1984年，育民又与四民相并，仍称育民乡；1987年3月设育民村委，1999年起称育民村委会[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」广东省创建单位名单中，有该村的名字[1]。
