历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网说，村名是先人为取吉祥寓意而定[1]。1951年，光长同曾福楼、四眉山、大地编为光长片，1958年称光长大队；1984年与四眉山并为光长乡，1987年3月设光长村委会，其后曾称管理区，1998年起仍称光长村委会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，光长村以甜玉米上榜[1]。
