历史沿革[edit]

村民定居时，村中央有一座山岗，发洪水时全村都到岗上及周边避水，村名因此而来。[1]清代属石湾巡司署忠冈约，民国属十二区正义乡中岗村，1958年在长宁公社下为中湖大队，其后改乡、改管理区，1999年改称村民委员会。[1]
