排沙村隶属惠州市惠城区横沥镇。据说村子西北方原有两股水流，河水直冲村口码头，把大量河沙冲排到此，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明代这里叫福兴围，后人觉得担不起“福兴”二字，清朝中期改称排沙。1953年8月实行乡的改革，其后1956年9月并入惠岚乡，随后1958年为大岚公社的排沙大队，此后1984年撤社设乡后属大岚乡，当年8月改排沙管理区，再后1999年10月改设排沙村委会。[1]
