共建社区在惠州市惠城区江南街道中东部，居委会成立于1982年8月，办公地点在共建路的共建市场附近，社区因此得名[1]。

博雅地名网记，社区由江南街道办事处提出命名申请，经惠城区人民政府批准设立[1]。
社区概况[edit]
辖区约0.45平方千米，北至青年河，南邻上湖塘社区，西到下角中路，东抵东江河；共8个住宅小区，主要片区有糖厂小区、富阳新村、文星花园、宇轩山庄，此外还有制药厂小区、制革厂、共建市场和76号小区[1]。常住2966户，总人口约9040人，另有流动人口4128人[1]。2019年9月，社区进入2018年度广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位之列；2022年9月获评惠州市2022年度绿色社区[1]。
