马圩镇在广东省肇庆市德庆县北部，镇政府设在马圩社区，辖1个社区和11个行政村。镇域面积163.75平方千米，省道352线自东向西穿过，距县城19公里。[1][2]镇以贡柑种植闻名，2019年经农业农村部认定为「第九批全国一村一品示范村镇」（贡柑）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

圩名的来历有两种说法。博雅地名网载，清代此地称麻圩，因“麻”与“马”读音相近，后写作马圩；马圩社区一页另说，圩上早先以麻类交易兴旺，故称麻圩，后来圩内建起马庙，才改称马圩。[1][3]

建国初的1950年1月，今镇境归第二区管辖；六年后立为马圩大乡。1958年10月，高良、官圩、沙旁三地并入，合组红旗公社；次年6月，马圩又单独成社。其后撤社建区（1983年），再到1986年，区制改为镇制。[1]

地理环境[edit]

镇在县城以北，据博雅地名网所载，距肇庆约100公里，距梧州约80公里。镇辖的11个村委会中，旺岗、荣村两村在圩镇西北，大益村在东部、地势低洼，古垒、诰赠在东北，罗横村在东北、距圩镇11公里，为全镇最远的村。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

各来源所载人口不一：博雅地名网引镇政府材料称常住人口5.02万、流动人口1.14万（未注年份）；同一页又载第七次全国人口普查时人口为1.72万人，在德庆县各街道乡镇中居第10位；维基百科载为20214人。[1][2][4]

经济[edit]

镇的主要产业是水果种植。据镇政府的概况材料，全镇种植贡柑5万亩，带动农户4850户，年产量12万吨，产值3.6亿元；镇里还建有农业创新服务中心，培育了本地的贡柑水果基地公司，并在筹建贡柑水果专业市场。该材料写于创建广东省农业专业镇期间，未注年份。[2]德庆贡柑于2004年获国家质检总局批准为地理标志产品。[5]

2019年9月，马圩镇经农业农村部认定，成为「第九批全国一村一品示范村镇」（贡柑）；2023年4月，马圩镇列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范镇」创建单位；2023年11月，入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

落雁山墓在镇内落雁山西坡，1972年村民平整地基时发现并经发掘清理。墓为长方形竖穴土坑，分前后两室，共出土器物19件，计铜器十五件、石器三件，陶器仅一件；其中以大匏壶和靴形钺最有特点。[6]
