群星村归大玉口镇管辖，是镇内较偏远的村之一。村委会下设18个村民小组，博雅地名网记总人口1688人，土地约17平方公里。距镇区18.8公里，通往赤黎的主干道已经硬化。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1987年，依据省政府「关于各乡、镇设立村（居）民委员会的通知」（封府〔1987〕16号）设立村民委员会，村名取自本地地名；在此以前，村域已历乡民会、乡政府、初级社和高级社几个阶段，至1958年成为生产大队。[1]

经济[edit]

全镇的林木主要出在这里，元珠山林场就在村内，木材、薪炭材、松脂和香菇都有产出。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
