新进村是封开县江口街道下辖的行政村，1987年经批准设立村民委员会，因驻地在新进村而得名。[1]全村面积19.3平方公里，设16个村民小组，420户、1662人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初期设新进乡，合作化时曾分为丰收、和平两社。1958年合成新进大队；1959年一度拆成半岗、仙洞等四个大队（另有榃田、思奕），1964年再并为一个，1987年设村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里有水田1616.8亩，村民以种水稻、沙糖桔和养殖业为主。[1][2]2008年的农业总产值约1254万元，村集体纯收入4.1万元。[1]

2019年9月，新进村进入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2023年4月，又列入「广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位」。[1]
