封川社区是封开县江口街道下辖的社区居委会，属城乡结合地带，居委会设在封州一路收费站旁。因驻地曾是封川县政府所在地而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原归河南居委会，早年的沿革与河南相同：1950年代由乡民会、乡政府转入合作社，1958年成为生产大队，1987年设村民委员会。2002年4月，随着县城扩大、人口增多，经批准从河南分出，另设封川社区居委会。[1][2]

概况[edit]

社区有居民6209人、2365户，“两委”成员7人，党员66人。[2]2022年12月，封川社区获「2022年肇庆市最美志愿服务社区」称号。[1]
