河南社区是封开县江口街道下辖的社区居委会，在贺江南岸，居委会设在贺江二路。因辖区位于贺江之南，而“河”与“贺”读音相同，故名河南。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在1950年代先后经历乡民会、乡政府和农业合作社，1958年成为生产大队，1987年起改称居民委员会。[1]

概况[edit]

社区面积约10平方公里，从贺江沿岸伸到纸厂路，辖区含丰沙、曙光两村，321国道穿境而过，居民7232人，党员51人。[1][2]辖区内的企业有江口电站、金信纸业和国家储备粮库等。[2]

广信文化园所在的犀牛头山，位于封开县河南新城区。[3]2022年12月，河南社区获「2022年肇庆市最美志愿服务社区」称号。[1]
