大庙村在怀集县连麦镇中部，与长岗、万坪、步岗三村相邻，下设13个村小组。[1]怀集县人民政府在1998年11月批准设立大庙村民委员会（「怀发〔1998〕20号」），委员会驻大庙村，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建制的变迁大致如下：高级社（1955年）、大队（1958年）、乡（1981年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年），至1998年成为村民委员会；高级社时期的名称为大庙。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

人口为2391人。土地合计4164亩，含水田985亩、旱地302亩，山林1857亩，另种沙糖桔150亩；收入以农林业为主。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，大庙村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
