历史沿革[edit]
建制的变迁大致如下：高级社（1955年）、大队（1958年）、乡（1981年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年），至1998年成为村民委员会；高级社时期的名称为增石。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村里有563户、3381人，分为28个经济合作社，耕地2612亩，其中1760亩是水田。[1]养猪方面，有8户与温氏集团合作，建了8个规模猪场，每年约养1万头、出栏0.75万头；沙塘桔种了852亩，年产25吨以上；养殖上采用猪、沙塘桔、鱼结合的立体模式。[1]
