镇南村是怀集县大岗镇下辖的行政村，位于镇西南部，距镇街约2公里，与桥头镇相邻，怀城至桥头燕岩风景区的公路从村中穿过。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

该村由镇安、南迳、迳口三个村合并，各取字组成镇南。1955年成立镇南高级社，1958年改设镇南大队，1983年改乡，1987年称村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年设村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

总面积16.14平方公里，耕地1672亩、山地12792亩，设15个村民小组。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网，总人口3830人，均为农业人口。[2]

经济[edit]

村内山地、山塘水库和旱地资源多，涉及国家土地整理项目3000亩，是镇里发展农林业的主要基地。2005年起引进温氏种猪场，年产猪苗8万头，以「公司+农户+基地」的方式带动养猪、种果、养鱼相结合的家庭庄园式经济。[2]2021年9月，镇南村以肉鸽入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
