秀林村是怀集县大岗镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东北部，距镇中心约6公里，与梁村镇、怀城镇相邻，村子分布在省道水谷线两侧。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1955年成立秀林高级社，1958年改设秀林大队，1983年改乡，1987年称村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年设村民委员会。村名因附近水田山林景致秀丽而来。[1][2]
地理环境[edit]
总面积5.26平方公里，耕地1055亩、山地4946亩，设11个村民小组，有较多山塘水库和旱地。[1]
人口民族[edit]

经济[edit]
村里建有谭再塘综合养殖场，第三产业较发达：村民有弹棉胎的手艺，产品销往各地，村子还以回收废旧铁器闻名。秀林村的丝苗米在2022年10月入选省农业农村厅认定的「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
