1955年成立梁水高级社，1958年改设梁水大队，1983年改乡，1987年称村委会，1989年称管理区；1998年11月，县政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准设立村民委员会。[1]

总面积5.25平方公里，耕地904亩、山地1814亩，设5个村民小组。[1]
