木格镇是广东省肇庆市广宁县西南部的镇，与本县石咀镇、洲仔镇，德庆县莫村镇和怀集县诗洞镇相邻，正好落在广宁、德庆、怀集三县的交界上。镇域面积126.05平方千米，往县城41公里，到肇庆70公里，到广州160公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记，镇名的由来是明成化年间（1465至1487年）有人建木屋店铺做买卖，名为木格铺，广宁置县后沿称木格。[1]建制上，木格先是公社（1979年），1983年秋改区，1987年4月区改为镇；村一级在1989年8月曾叫管理区，到1998年12月恢复了村民委员会的名称。[1]

镇概况称镇下有6个村委会、1个居委会和200个村民小组；博雅地名网现列1个社区、6个行政村。[1][2]

镇概况称总人口2万多人（写于2005年前后）；博雅地名网引第七次全国人口普查结果，2020年木格镇人口1.24万人，在广宁县各街道乡镇中居第12位。[1][2]

镇概况记，按镇概况的数字，当年（约2005年）工农业总产值为25997万元，工业占21576万元，农业占4421万元；另有19家企业和307户个体工商户，行业涉及酿酒、化工、制香、造纸、木材加工、小水电和瓷土开采。[2]木格米酒以大米酿造；瓷土储量大，年开采量10万吨以上，供应珠三角陶瓷企业。[2]

农业上种植沙糖桔、南药、西瓜、指天椒，养殖山地鸡；其中指天椒是主导品种，种植面积超过2000亩，年产超过1500吨；木格又是邻近各县指天椒汇集之处，成交量每年超过5000吨。[2]
