蕉园社区在广东省肇庆市鼎湖区坑口街道，位于鼎湖山脚下的北回归线一带，离鼎湖山景区约500米，辖蕉园、红岭、鸡梯、葫芦园4条村。[1][2]蕉园村为梁氏聚居地，明洪武五年（1372年）建村，村内保存古树、古书院等遗存。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武五年（1372年），梁氏族人从端州明直里迁来建村，最初称上迪村；因村子四周广种蕉树，改称大蕉园，又叫东蕉园，后人简称蕉园。[1][3]地名由来的另一种说法是：迁来的梁宗道携妻儿定居，后代为了纪念宗道之父梁迪，以“迪”字取名。[1]

1949年以前隶高要县第一区，1953年改归第八区，1955年起在广利区文园乡，后成为广利人民公社的蕉园大队。1977年划给肇庆市，1988年4月转入鼎湖区，称蕉园村委会；1992年12月成为蕉园居民委员会（归坑口街道），2002年4月起为蕉园社区居民委员会。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

社区有2136人；集体收入合计105万元，人均每年约4500元（博雅地名网未注明统计年份）。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

蕉园村的古树名木树龄约在200至600年之间，村旁有成片竹园。[2]博雅地名网把村内古迹按儒、释、道分列：鼎湖山山主故居（明成化六年，即1470年始建）、古书院（清乾隆二十一年，即1756年始建）和苏真人祠；此外还有水源不断的沙眼泉，称为不竭泉。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，蕉园社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
