竹云村是钱排镇下辖的行政村，在镇的东北部[1]。辖5个村民小组，有597户、3411人，面积18.2平方千米，耕地2180亩（博雅地名网村情，未注明年份）[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

解放前属马西乡十三堡；于1952年为钱排管区莲塘乡，于1955年建莲塘初级社，于1957年改高级社；于1960年分为莲塘、竹云、响水三个大队；于1966年莲塘与竹云合并，因朱砂镇也有莲塘大队，改称竹云大队；于1983年改竹云乡，于1986年起设村民委员会，其间于1989年曾叫管理区办事处，于1999年定名为竹云村民委员会[1]。

地名由来[edit]

村后山上有大片竹林，常有云雾缭绕，故名竹云[2]

经济[edit]

村情称，三华李收入突破400万元，跨镇公路已硬底化，村里还是全镇规模最大的养猪基地（未注明年份）[1]。

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会在2021年12月将竹云村评为「2021年广东省卫生村」[1]。广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布的「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」中有竹云村，作物为三华李[1]。竹云村在2019年9月被列为「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位[1]。
