村里的作物，以水稻、荔枝、龙眼为主；村民约2928人，辖区面积5.66平方千米[1]。

年均气温17.9℃，年降水量约1780毫米，属南亚热带季风型气候[1]。

地名由来[edit]

这里原有一口十多亩的水塘，塘后是山岭，因此得名“塘岭”[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

塘岭村的建制变化依次是：1960年为大队，1983年改作乡，1987年前后组建村民委员会，1989年设管理区办事处，1999年定为现名，公社化后即有塘岭大队[1]。

荣誉[edit]

  • 2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号[1]
  • 2019年9月，名列「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」[1]
