据博雅地名网所载，全村有1039户、5553人在册，总面积约8.7平方千米，耕地5953亩[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期至1949年前后属林尘乡；人民公社化的1958年，成立的大队原名西岸，因与别处同名，到1987年，改设村民委员会时改称新岸。1989年再改为管理区办事处，1999年起，恢复村民委员会之名[1]。
