村民委员会以驻地山车命名；民国年间山车属北安乡。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
全村分11个村民小组，登记在册532户、2954人；总面积4624.2亩，耕地2154.6亩，主要作物有花生、蔬菜和橘红。[1]村里修了7.2公里水泥路，11条自然村都通了水泥路，并实施农村洁净饮水工程，全部用上自来水；又修了2.3公里排洪渠和6.2公里排灌渠。[1]
