西冲村位于广东省茂名市高州市长坡镇，属镇下辖的村民委员会[1]。村在石鳌岭与大塘之西的山埇地带，原称西埇，后依当地读音写作西冲。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

公社化以前为西埇乡；1958年上游公社的西埇管区设于此；长坡公社1960年成立时，以西埇片立西埇大队；1960年至1963年一度拆为西埇、银横、集才、六安四队，1963年复合为一。1983年起称乡，1986年称农村管理区，1999年后为村民委员会。[1]
