南茂坡村在石鼓镇西面，辖13个村民小组，村内的南茂坡宫皇庙是广东省文物保护单位[1][2][3]。

名称由来[edit]

据传先人迁来时此地茅草茂盛，又在高州市的南面，故称南茂坡[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

埇口大队在1958至1959年包括此地，1960年一分为四，南茂坡为其一；此后1983年成南茂坡乡，1986年成农村管理区，1999年起称南茂坡村民委员会[1]。

经济[edit]

百度百科称，村域面积3.3平方千米，耕地1230亩，330户共1325人；以水稻、蔬菜为主，2023年农村经济总收入2668万元[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

南茂坡宫皇庙在村小学旁，为广东省第九批省级文物保护单位；据百度百科，2023年启动修缮工程，投资205.56万元[2][3]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，南茂坡村入选广东省卫生村名录；同年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
