名称由来[edit]
村北至南有一公里左右的丘陵山地，常年林木青翠，旧称长山村。后因与廉江县长山镇同名，湛江专区要求高州改名，定名祥山，寓意吉祥[1]。百度百科写作1981年更名[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
1961年体制下放时设祥山大队，此后1983年成祥山乡，1986年成农村管理区，1999年起称祥山村民委员会[1]。
经济与交通[edit]
百度百科记载，国道207线经过境内，传统圩日为农历三、六、十日，产业有砖瓦制造、饲料加工、制糖和农具制造[2]。石鼓镇建有祥山工业园区[3]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，祥山村获2021年广东省卫生村称号；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
